Trademarks

What is a trademark?
A trademark may be a word, phrase, symbol or logo, or a combination thereof, that identifies and distinguishes the source of
goods and services from the makers and providers of similar goods and services.  For examples, a trademark can be the
name or logo for a product, a catch phrase used in advertising a product, etc.

We will register your trademark with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office ("PTO") to provide greater legal protections of your
trademark ownership.

After being allowed by the PTO, the trademark registration can remain in force for 10 years, and it may be renewed for an
indefinite number of 10-year terms, unless it's cancelled or surrendered by the trademark owner.

Trademark Registration Application - Preparation & Filing Cost
We prepare an application and file it with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office:
- $475 total for attorney work (regardless of the # of classes of goods/services to which the trademark pertains)
- Plus a U.S. government filing fee ($275 or 325 per class of goods/services)
